very disappointed December 11, 2007 Reviewer:  G. Orlando Real Name (Blackstone, MA, USA)  See all my reviews >

Well when it works -it works good. But, it broke after a week. Target sent me out a replacement which also broke after one week. Then Haier themselves sent out a technician to fix the dryer and he used duct tape to fix the belt that kept breaking. It didn't last a day. They then sent another technician who pretty much said the belt is going to keep breaking. I returned both of the dryers back to the Target store for a refund.

Very Useful Dryer May 8, 2008 Reviewer:  rl9905 (Orange County, California)  See all my reviews >

I bought this product in January 2008 and had it for 4 months now. I've been using it 2-3 times a week and it works really good. It may take just a little longer than usual to dry a load of clothes (about 1 hour to 1.5 hours) and the clothes do come out dry.

What's great about this dryer is that there are many great features on this dryer. You can set it on "Auto Dry" or "Time Dry" (from 30mins to 150mins).

It also has a Normal Cycle, Heavy Cycle for heavy items such as jeans, a delicate cycle and timed dry cycle.

There are three temperature settings High, Low and Air Dry.

At the end of the cycle, a chime sounds lettting you know the cycle has completed. The lint filter is easy to clean.

What i usually do is put my clothes into the dryer, press the POWER button and then START. It automatically stops when the clothes are dry.

It's quiet and not loud. The sound is minimal. It also comes with brackets where you can hang it up on the wall. The dryer is not heavy.

Another great thing about this dryer is that it plugs into any regular outlet.

Overall, I definately recommend this Dryer to anyone who lives in an appartment or anyone who do not want to do their laundry outside. I bought myself a matching Haier washer and love it. DO GET THIS DRYER along with a matching washer :)

Original Questions From: S. Puentes "ladyfox3" (Texas, USA)

There are not much reviews on the product but most are good. I want to buy this dryer I just wonder how easy/difficult is to mount on apartment plaster walls? Is it doable to mount ...what exactly is included as far as mounting and has anybody here actually had it mounted with no problems. Also can you connect this dryer on the same socket as the washing machine? What type of duct/vent equipment did you purchase....since I just read here it doesn't include this. I do have a duct to vent outside I just know that there is a better type of duct to vent than others.

===============================

Dear S. Puentes

I have Haier dryer and i've owned it for 9months now. To Answer your first question, my Haier Dryer is currently Mounted on the Wall. The Dryer comes with the needed brackets to mount it on the wall and instructions on how to mount it. It was easy and doable. Just besure when you mount it, to mount it on the stud of the wall. It explains in the instructions. About a month ago, here in California, we had a magnitude 5.4 earthquake. When i got home from work, i didnt know what to expect. But when i got home, the dryer was okay and it was still hanging on the wall as usual. I'm glad i followed the instructions on the manual on mounting it.

To answer your second questions, yes i am able to plug it into the same socket with the washing machine. I am able to run both washing machine and dryer simultaneously and have no problems.

To answer your last question about the duct vent, i just went out to my local hardware store and bought a cheapy vent and installed it and it works great.

Hope this reply helps you and for everyone else as well.

mostly satisfied June 21, 2008 Reviewer:  Studio Apt Dweller (Silver Spring, MD)  See all my reviews >

I've had this dryer for a little bit (currently drying my fourth load).

I was dissappointed with the manual's disclaimer about venting to the outside. It says the warranty is void if the proper ducting is not in place. However, the dryer is advertised as being 'perfect for apartments, dorm rooms, etc.' without mention of the requirment of having access to an outside venting duct.

I attached the venting piece that comes the unit (no ductwork comes with it), so that the vent enters my apartment freely. My apartment isn't stuffy at all, it is fairly well ventilated. So far, so good.

Otherwise, I'm satisfied. It dries in a reasonable amount of time. I have a Haier portable washer, and putting in a load of clothes or towels from one wash does not overwork the dryer. A little more FYI: I can't run my dryer and my microwave on the same circuit without tripping the breaker, but that is an easy problem to remedy (no nukin' in the microwave while drying, and vice versa.)

I love my Haier Dryer June 23, 2009 Reviewer:  hogohowie "hogohowie" (Brooklyn, NY)  See all my reviews >

Purchased this dryer to go along with my Haier washer XQJ50-31. As other reviewers have stated, since this dryer is smaller and works on household current, it does not get as hot as larger dryers. Once you use the dryer a few times, you can judge how long to dry. I dry my poly/cotton shirts, usually about 5 at a time, on the low setting for 45 minutes & take them out & hang them right up with no ironing needed. The heavier items like towels, socks, & cotton briefs, I put in for 1 to 1-1/2 hours depending how much I put into the dryer. I have ordered an extracter, but have not yet received it-which will cut down on the drying time.
Since I am in a small apartment, & have no place to hang the dryer on a wall, I purchased a dollie from handtrucks.com. This has made moving the dryer around really easy & convenient & raised the dryer so that the controls are more easily accessable.
All in all, having the washer & dryer right in the apartment, and accessable at any time, has made the purchase of both the washer & dryer a great decision.

Does this HAVE to be mounted on the wall? January 30, 2009 Reviewer:  Apt Dweller (Madison WI)  See all my reviews >

I have the Haier portable washer & am very happy with it. But air drying clothes & towels turns them into stiff pieces of tree bark! (lol) Would like to get this dryer to go with it, but landlord won't allow me to attach to the wall. Can this stand alone on a counter top?

Slow Dryer December 1, 2009 Reviewer:  Brian Thorson Real Name See all my reviews >

It takes about 2 1/2 - 3 hours to dry a small load of laundry.
I called Haier and was told this is normal for a 120 volt dryer. Something to consider before buying.

Best Little Dryer September 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Walter (Brooklyn, NY)  See all my reviews >

I've had this for over 2 years now, mounted on the wall. It accompanies my Avanti Portable washing machine, and whatever clothes fit in the washer will fit in the dryer with room to spare. I've had no problems at all and use it about once a week, 3 cycles in a row. The only annoying thing is the lint filter, the black felt part is hard to clean by hand so I wind up vacuuming it with the hose attachment. I highly recommend it especially for small apartments.

Love it!! July 20, 2009 Reviewer:  Katie See all my reviews >

I am a veterinary nurse, I live in an apartment, and laundry mats are not only really expencive in my area, but they are usually closed by the time I am able to get around to doing laundry. I got this so I could handwash my clothes and still have them dry in time. I can dry 3 sets of scrubs in 1 hour. Its great!
